Set of these bad boys on ebay for £850 if anyone interested - and round the corner from me.

How much do you reckon it's worth paying ?

What would I get for the ellipsoids 2nd hand ?
 
Prices are difficult for both.

I've seen singles in good nick go for £50 before, so at £850 they would have to be immaculate.

Same with Ellipsoids, Herminator got a spare one for about £25, I got four in ok shape for £205, but I have seen a set of good ones with worn tyres go for £500 before.

I really think it depends how good yours are, and how good the 108's are, but from what I've seen it's about a £300 upgrade all said and done, unless you are willing to pickup singles/pairs etc, and get a set together, then get them reconditioned.

Cheers for advice Dave: having read the grief of maintaining the star spokes I may stick with the ellipsoids, but get them refurbed... just want to avoid loosing the car for a few days or putting it up on axle stands... needs must though ! :D
 
I am in the same boat.

I have a set of both needing refurb ideally, and I'm torn which to keep when they are both finally done :D

The 107's will look great once done, and stay looking great, and DO look good.

108's will look great once done, but might stop looking great in a year and a half, but they also DO look good :)

Almost tempted to keep both sets and run both depending on my mood :P
