If you have sat-nav your options are further limited. The head unit has all the controls for the sat-nav, computer and source selection (CD, 6CD, Radio & Aux if fitted).
Anyway, the better news... My first Z4 had carver and my current one doesn't and my view is in a roadster the ambient noise from the wind, road, engine & exhaust is so great the fidelity of a top system is swamped. Yes its better but not really worth the extra cost.
Personally, I would only make the investment in a closed car.
