Never seen one of these before; thought mini disc were pretty much obsolete http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Z4-mini-disk-headunit_W0QQitemZ320428579874QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Audio_TV_Electronics_In_Car_Entertainment_GPS_In_Car_Audio_Players_PP?hash=item4a9b081c22&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Back when the Z4 was launched (more so when it was being developed I guess), MD was still holding with its nails, MP3 wasn't the force it is now (Ipods were still a bit pricey). They were the best portable format until MP3 took hold, I loved them - fantastic sound quality, and very practical - but they didn't market them enough to get a strong hold on the market.

I bought one when I did the satnav project, as I bought a second (CD based) unit, I sold this unit on.

....to me who also found a CD unit and so I sold it on withou using :D

Note that one is for anybody with Navigation as it has no display.

£90. I think it is still cheaper than fitting an OEM iPod interface. Does it require software update by dealers?

No coding but you need SatNav, if your thinking of retofitting the price is good as SatNav headunits of any type are like hens teeth.

Those were the days when I thought I was the cool dudet on the school bus with my new mini-disc player LOL.. 8)

Think i still have them boxed away somewhere..
