Tried this on my E86 for a few weeks, sounds great, but a bit too loud for me.

What is required to fit this to an E85 if at all possible?

You’re going to have to cut off the existing backbox (there’s no joins) in the correct place & then clamp on the section that’s for sale here, and then go & buy some ear defenders :P
Rob

I thought as much, it's a shame there isn't a clamp already there. I think it's a project for the future. Haha I am just too curious.

It awesome when giving it some welly, but drony at cruising speed 65-75 and a bit much at lower revs under load, I would have lived with it for the grin factor, but she refused to get in it, unless it I swapped it back! Are you single ? 😳

I am not single, sounds like this may be a way to change that! :D

Is still a temptation. I will have a little think about it. Am thinking I could fabricate a flange to make these and my original box interchangeable for those rare occasions I want to annoy the neighbours.

If you have still got it at the weekend let me know.

Any chance you have a sound clip on youtube or anything? Bet it sounds the mutts danglies
There are loads of clips on youtube of the exhaust delete - just google it

I fitted an exhaust delete on my old 3.0 E85 and it sounded amazing like amplified thunder, however the drone at 2.5k-3.5k revs was unbearable. I fitted small dB Killers into the join where the straight pipes were connected and this reduced the drone considerable but still gave a deep loud exhaust that could be heard for miles :D

Hi James,
Am on hols down at Bodmin, coming back past you tomorrow afternoon.Would you take £60 if you are about in the afternoon?

I was curious so I went on YouTube and discovered It's Joel did a comparison with his (straight piped) and a friend's (stock) E85 3.0i Z4. If you use this link, you should even get to skip the cringeworthy intro:
