Stable & complete Ista+ ?

Hi,

I've been so far fairly satisfied using my Ista+ 4.05 (aka Rheingold or Ista-D prior to version 4) on my E85. However, when trying to find the modules to reset oil change and brake fluid it seems like a chunk of the installation, Maintenance and pre-delivery check module, is completely missing. Can anyone recommend a stable version and perhaps point a source (ebay or other vendor?) to retrieve the intstallation files?

You sure you're looking in the right place? Once you've done the vehicle reading if you click on the service plan tab at the top, extend the 'body' menu and there should be a drop down for instrument cluster. In that menu there should be an option for reset service interval with tester, choose that and you can choose what you want to reset. Couldn't find brake fluid though, usually do that through DIS so not had time to look for it!

Thanks AndyBeech,
Found the service interval reset under body/instrument cluster but it was inactive and greyed out. That suggests, however, that the ISTA sw parts is there. So I then took the laptop to my F13, connected with an ENET cable and, hey presto, the menu items are there:

So that narrows down to the usb-obd cable (which has worked flawlessly, coding and reseting errors) or the old school car itself. I’d better just reset with the instrument cluster buttons, forget about ISTA and instead keep driving this thing more. :)

Have you tried the method I gave above which is a bit different to your way? Literally did this earlier in mine as I needed to and worked fine  But yeah the cluster buttons should work also

Yes, I followed your hint and found the greyed out, italics ”Display: Service interval reset” under Service functions / body / instrument cluster. There was nothing under the Service plans tab.
