SQUEEEEEEEZE ME IN

Im living proof it can be done! 6ft 7, 240lbs and i've had both a 2.0 roadster and now the MC. I honestly feel like there is more room in the coupe but this could just be due to the electric seats, i found that with the seats fully back there was a god awful rubbing/creaking noise so would have to move it a full notch forward in the roadster, whereas with the ///M a slight tap on the adjust does the trick. I must confess you can forget using the driver side cup holder and your left knee does rub on the centre console but i dont do any long journeys so its no big issue for me.

However, this weekend i've had a nightmare - while getting in my left knee has hit the temp control and done some damage, the air con button is not responding and the dial wont twist so im stuck on max heat! Hope its not an expensive fix!

My problem is this will be my daily driver if it wasn't I'd just live with the occasional pain

Could someone do me a favour and measure their seat (both std / sport and electrical version ... cheeky I know) or tell me where to look as I'm drawing blanks

I'm looking for the following dimensions:

Width Across Base
Width Across Backrest
Depth
Height

Thanks in advance

Have you considered trying to shrink yourself in the wash?

Worked for my Italia 90 t-shirt which my older brother always said I'd grow into, but never did...

Can still fit it my "Prodigy, Jilted Generation" T-shirt that I've had since I was 15 ..... but that's just stretched with me and is now almost opaque! :D

I'm thinking with a few more we should form a rugby team 8)

I was No 8 for whatever team I played for, think I was too daft to work out how to play on either side of the pack!

Of course there isn't :D

I used to play blind side flanker - got by on a low centre of gravity attached to 13 stone and a huge amount of anger

Now just fat and knackered, but do a lot of coaching

Just read a post (on a boxter forum) with someone having similar issues and he had someone suggest the following:

I worked at the Family owned car wash for 15 years and and have personally seen a solution to this .I have seen 2 types for more leg room
1.a upholstery shop takes out the drivers seat removes 1/2 to 3/4 of the padding and restiches the original seat back on with some customizing or just puts a new leather cover on.this can give you more room . this was before the air bags were in seats though .
2. Custom shop takes out the drivers seat and either cuts the existing seat frame down to desired level or makes a custom frame (Very thin and low and mounts seat back on.
there are some shops that specialize in doing this for tall people or for some one that just needs a little more leg room .Its very dooable Many professional basketball players have done this
Also if you just want more head room I have seen the padding removed from Headliners as well

Anyone know somewhere which could undertake this kind of work?
