Squeaky/whistling exhaust

Hi all,
My car is fitted with the ESS exhaust system see
http://www.esstuning.no/default.asp?c=shop&cat=93&subcat=170&subcat2=174&id=
Right at the bottom of the page...

Started it up this morning after all the snow (if that is relevant?) to hear an immediate whistle/squeak - not very loud but quite annoying and noticeable if you have the stereo off. Thought it was due to the cold but after a drive it was still there - continually!

Not knowing much about mechanics im not sure if that’s indicative of an air leak somewhere around the back box?

My current line of thinking is to monitor it and run it down to kwik fit next weekend to get the welds checked if its still a problem. They should be able to repair it rather than replace shouldn’t they?

Anyone with more knowledge care to pass judgement?

Thanks

Yep I'd see what happens with it, maybe it's just the joint with your existing pipes that needs tightening or sealing again. If the welds have failed hopefully it would still be under warranty, how long have you had it? Do you still have the original backbox if you needed to return the ESS one?

Thanks...
Nah i bought the car with the ESS one already fitted, not sure what the warranty is going to be with it. Without the car on a ramp its really hard to hear just where the noise is comming from. Not opposed to paying to have it re-welded - just for an easy life!
