Anyone got update photos of the squeaky stowed top fix?

The DIY on here and other sites all link the same pictures that no longer exist.
Does anyone have some photos they took as I'm trying to follow the guide but not sure where to start!

Thanks

Which bit do you mean exactly?
After months of chasing various latch adjustments etc., I discovered wifey's car issue was due to the roof not folding correctly.
With the roof up, look at the edge near the top rear corner of the window. You'll see a plastic reinforcing strip stitched in. If this is cracked it can cause the material to fold wrongly.
So once you can see that area, fold the roof halfway back. You should see the material at that point fold to point outwards. If however if folds inwards then the extra thickness it creates is enough to prevent the roof latching into place, leaving it free to rattle.
Bit of a faff, but on ours now we have to fold halfway, then just pull that material both sides to fold outwards, not inwards.
I'll try to get photos for you.

Interesting, I'll look later and see what mine looks like!
I'm not sure it is that though as mine has the squeak from the latch area when the roof is down, which seems to be the same issue as this - https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19020
Seems a quick fix if it is indeed that, however no pictures means I'm a bit stuck on where these first two screws are!

That's exactly what I thought mine was.
Tried putting tape on it but as it was not latching it still moved and wore the tape away.
Once I folded it correctly it was able to latch into place and held itself still.

The other answer is to remove the top centre trim and completely unbolt the latch assembly.
Not quite sure the screws you mean tbh, but when you drop the storage door there are two plastic screw/rivets hidden in the top of the compartment, front edge. Wind the screw out and remove the expanding rivet part. You should then be able to carefully remove the panel and gain access to the latch.

I think these are the ones you are looking for.

No idea, but you'd need a pretty good sewing machine to fix them back into the material.
