squeaking noise from back of car - possibly shocks?

Hi,

I'm getting a really annoying squeaking sound coming from the back of the car every time i go over a lump or bump in the round and they don't have to be that big either!

It's very noticable when the roof is down and my best guess would be the near side rear shock as the sounds appears to be from there.

What can i do to ellminate this squeaking?

I've tried spraying WD40 onto what look the the rear rocks above the rear wheels but it hasn't helped.

I'm certainly no mechanic, would it be easy for me to fix?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I had a very similar metalic squeak coming from the same area. Supplying dealer (JKC Coleraine) had it back for 7 days in total and couldn't sort it.

Another dealer (David Prentice Omagh) sorted it within 10 minutes by lubricating the boot hinge mechanism and adjusting the boot lock. Not sure which it was, but they cured it.

Hope yours in something as simple....

Wasn't the boot hinge or lock - lubricated then and made no difference, it sounds more like air passing through the front near side shock having had another listen
