Squeak/whistle on idle

Hi all-to add to my growing list of problems I now have heard a squeak/whistle on idle, only after the car has warmed up-the noise goes when the accelerator pressed while idling in traffic-sounds like its coming from the pulleys/belts area-difficult to get thoughts over the forum without hearing it I know, but anyone had similar?-zed going to indy on Friday to have airbag light looked at, so I will get their input-thanks.

Hi,
While it's at the Indy's ask them to drop off the ancillary belt and start it up - that will soon tell you if it's a tensioner or the belt itself or an air leak somewhere (Although an air leak big enough to hear will normally mean the car will be running rough/EML)
Stu.

Flexi hose just before the inlet manifold. It's approx 3" diameter, it's in the shape of a 90 degree elbow and fitted with a small bore take off.
Check for cracks around this take off - it's a common fault, sounds as described and an easy fix.

Had the same problem but came up with the warning light

Hi yes i checked this but it seem to be coming from the middle front of the engine (if that makes sense? )

Cant seem to see the small concertina pipe I have seen in the pics on here with splits in them?-different ?

I had a whistle at part throttle which was due to the sound generator pipe being a bit loose in the bulkhead. Pushing the pipe home made it go away.
