Sprint Booster

It links between the throttle pedal and the throttle body on fly by wire systems. Basically it sharpens up the throttle response. On most cars including BMW's the throttles open progressivly even if you stand on the loud pedal. This gadget illiminates that delay and snaps the throttle(s) open. It actually works very well. The same problem can be illiminated with a full professional remap but if you don't fancy that and just want to concentrate on this area then it's worth fitting.

It's probably very similar. My Alpina didn't have a sport button so it made a big difference with mine.

Thanks guys - I had figured out what it was supposed to do, however was unsure if it had any real benefit or just smoke and mirrors. I had not noticed that when I floored the thottle the BMW software acted progressively.

I do have the sport button and of course when in spireted driving mode that's always 'engaged'. On the throttle side it does adjust a few things - sensitivity of the throttle, holds lower gears for longer, etc. so in that case it may be of limited benefit to me.

Not ready for a full remap yet.
