'Sprint Booster V3' throttle adjustment mod for BMW Manual Cars. Makes the throttle feel more responsive. It's basically a 'Sport Mode' for cars without a Sport Button. There are three modes, Stock, Sport and Race. I much prefer it on than off, cue the debate!

Information can be found here: https://www.mstyle.co.uk/bmw-z-seri...int-booster-for-manual-transmission-cars.html

Was £150, now £130

How does this differ from the previous version?

I have an old sprint booster in mine that seems to have packed up so am thinking about getting another if I can’t fix.

Not sure to be honest, maybe more modes? I haven't seen the version 2.

It you have a sport with a sport button, does this module make the car more sportier? :D 8)
It has a race feature, I’m assuming it improves the acceleration than the standard sport set up in the car?

Yes!

Throttle Response is not the same as Acceleration. You might think it's accelerating quicker (going side by side, one with the device, one without), but in actuality, it's your throttle response that's quicker, and thus the signal to accelerate happens quicker but the acceleration rate itself is the same

These devices literally just tweak the throttle response, they don't actually make any power or even performance improvements (beyond simply tuning the throttle response).

I have a Racechip XLR myself - same thing, different brand. I really like them though personally :)

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions
I will give the iron so e thought but it’s not a priority at the moment fir what I want to do with my coupe
Infact, I want to do something but haven’t figured out what it is yet :?
Need to upgrade the sound system first but I have a satnav and wanna play my iPod via a decent stereo and an active sub in the boot
Yeh I know, far too laddish for a coupe, but I’m 50 and went through the dance scene of the early 80’s through to the early 00’s and love my music!

I'd go for an underseat active sub, takes up far less room and all the base you need. I just sold one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KICKER-H...8:g:Z70AAOSw~bhcTujp:rk:2:pf:1&frcectupt=true and found it to be excellent with the base turned way down. It punches way beyond what is needed in the small cabin of the Z4.

Upgrading the stock speakers is also well worth it. Focal and Eton do vehicle specific speakers for BMW and the difference is night and day. If you're willing to take the rear console out replacing the speakers behind the headrests is also well worth it. The stock stereo is surprisingly adept with a good set of speakers.

I didn't want to replace the stock stereo purely for aesthetics. As great as those aftermarket face plates are I've always found an aftermarket stereo to look out of place / not BMW.

Hi
Thanks for the heads up
I had looked at these under seat subs but as I have never heard one I assumed the6 would not be good enough
However, I will now look into it on your recommendation
Thanks, ALL advice is appreciated
