I was reading an article in a magazine that got me thinking...

It was mentioned that one issue that M owners have dealt with in the past is broken springs. I do remember that this was a fairly common issue with non-M z4um members. Is there any M owner over here that has had broken springs on their car?

In short lots of us have had our springs replaced, some more than once. Look at this thread for the details:

Springs are £72 per side plus an hour ish for fitting, although easily DIY'able apparently. Covered under warranty, both new and AUC and a well known problem.
 
Very common problem, there are several threads going about broken springs.

I had both my rear springs replaced at 32K.
