Some helpful advise needed please.
My car failed its MOT on Thursday due to broken rear nearside spring. I saw the offending item once it had been taken off and it had in fact sheared. The work to replace was carried out under warranty so no problems there. The car has since been re-MOT'd and passed.
I am however a little confused. I'm pretty sure my car runs various M spec equipment, including springs. The garage have told me they put an MTec spring on, but when I measured the distance from the top of the arch to the top of the alloy rim, there is about an inch difference between offside and nearside.
Is this usual with a new spring? Should I expect it to bed in over a few weeks/months or should I contact the garage about it?
Ta.
