Spring cushions for z4

Hey All,
Thought I’d just share an item I bought recently to raise the front of my car slightly.

Bit of background - I have an se z4 e86, found it a bit too high on standard springs especially after I installed 19’s. Lowered the carbon eibach springs, the fronts lower more than the rears and as a result my 235/35 tyres were rubbing a little. Changed to 225/35 which pretty much solves the issues however the car was still a little too low at the front especially as I have a steep driveway. I saw these spring cushions on eBay so decided to give them a shot (wasn’t too optimistic initially). They arrive in great packaging and plenty of zip ties to secure them to the springs, it took about 5 mind per side to install and viola! The ride height is now perfect (both front and rears are the exact height off the ground and front wheel centres and to top it off the ride is noticeably more comfortable now!

Anyways here are some pics and sorry for the long life story haha!

Great idea, and the perfect ride height now.

I wonder if Grayston Spring Assistors would work just as well (they are about 1/4 the price).

Surely this will ruin the handling of the car now?

Wouldn't you have been better off using some standard springs up front instead?

I had the se springs before so wanted a mild drop, everything I read pointed me to the Eibach springs which are perfect on the rear but the front drop was a little too much so wanted to raise the front without spending too much and having to change the springs again.

I took the car for a nice spirited drive through the hills and haven't noticed any difference apart from the ride being much more comfortable. I'm sure I read somewhere that people have used similar products and on track without any issues. In reality if it does negatively affect handling I doubt I'd ever notice it with the way I drive.
