Spring clean and pre sale tidy up (SOLD) - picture heavy

Not my driveway sadly. But my folks house. Plenty room for car cleaning though, and a beast of a Kärcher :)

Adam -fantastic job - never seen it look so good !

But so sorry to hear you're selling. Trust you'll hang around though.

Top job Adam  Good luck with the wedding also :)

When using the AG SRP....Does this have any cutting properties? i.e. did you see any of blackness (paint) on the polishing pad?

I've always been under the impression that AGSRP had some mild cutting properties, but I've heard conflicting stories about it. It's definitely a filler, and fills swirls very well.

I'm probably going to invest in more kit, as I'd like to do a full restore on whatever my next car will be...

So why you selling then? Just fancy a change etc? What's the next car going to be?

SRP is more of a cleaner with filling properties an AOI you wouldnt see black on the pad as theres still coat of laquer after the base coat. My non met jet black still has a Laquer too.

Looks a fab job..... SRP hides swirls and makes the paint look amazing with a DA or Rotary......

Thats why I asked as it has mixed views on what it actually does. Most say what PaulN mentioned that it has cleaning and filling properties rather then correction. Some say that it has some abrasive ingredients and it can cut. I guess if the pad didnt go black then your not cutting! :D

Need something more practical that I won't worry about whilst it's parked at the supermarket. Roads are shocking with potholes around Edinburgh too, so driving around with CSLs has never been comfortable so I don't do it often.

Looking at 330d/335d or Golf GTI etc as options for replacement. Although the 3 series is looking more likely.

Coming from the other direction 3er to Z4M all those options will inevitably be disappointing. Even if you buy something else and get a door ding in a supermarket it will cost the same and be just as much as an annoyance.

Suck it up and use it, what its for! Roads are the same throughout the country all of mine are rural, running CSL no problem with over 20k done. Sort it out if you have trouble along the way.

Yeah if I ever get rid of mine (and don't keep and run alongside another car) it would have to be something a bit special like a C63 Estate or something completely different like a Land Rover Discovery 4. I couldn't be doing with a boring diesel car.

The pad will have some correction ability even using water some some light swirls will be removed. The pad shouldnt go black though.

Adam sent you a message.

I'm still seriously looking at selling my SLK and thinking in either your one maybe or an Imola one.

Just tough going from an auto to a manual but yours looks good. Any issues which need sorting Adam? And got a price in mind?

3 things need done. Front tyre, front brakes (don't really need done - ie they're not an MOT issue, I just have OCD), and front bumper has stone chips so could do with a respray. I'm planning to sort all 3 prior to sale.

Price wise given current market and above points being sorted, I think £17,995 ONO

I'm too sad to comment on this, even though I just have... We won't get to hoon together this year... Or maybe ever
