Not been on here much lately. Life is busy.
As some of you will already know, chances are I'll be selling the zed in the next few months. However, with my wedding just a fortnight away, I want the car in my wedding photos.
Was great weather at the weekend, so I decided to give the zed a proper clean.
The process (detailers/geeks/anoraks etc please note, I am not a detailer, I don't have a paint thickness gauge etc, and I don't care if I was using the wrong pads compounds blah blah - I was just tidying her up a bit
)
Power rinse
2 bucket method - wash
Rinse
Megs clay bar and QD
Rinse
Dry
AG SRP - with DAS6 Polisher and Shinemate T20 pad
Poorboys Black Hole - machined as above
Poorboys Natty Paste Wax
Poorboys Wheel Sealant
Exhaust tips polished with.... Brasso. Yep, it does a good job!
I ran out of tyre shine, which was a real bummer. But otherwise, it was a job well done.
Now for the pictures:
Took me 5 hours in total, including a hoover and clean inside.
All but the deepest swirls have been filled. The paintwork is back to showroom condition. Really chuffed with the result.
I can now return the DAS6 to its rightful owner - cheers pal
