Merry Christmas to you all

Im a novice regarding the above, and would appreciate if someone could send me info/links to the springs and shocks i require

2003 3.0L Z has covered 101,000 miles, and i have no evidence if she has ever had the setup replaced from factory.

I recently changed my suspension to the recommended Bilstein B4s and Eibach springs.

Here are the part numbers - I have a 2008 facelift 3.0 so you will have to double check the part numbers are ok for the pre facelift (2003) - maybe someone on here can confirm for you?

1 x BILSTEIN B4 - 22 164568 front left shock
1 x BILSTEIN B4 - 22 164575 front right shock
2 x BILSTEIN B4 - 19-158983 REAR shocks

Eibach springs, Pro Kit. Part No: E10-20-010-01-22

A quick search on eBay and the part numbers appear correct for your car too - but double check yourself.

Expect to pay around £300-£350 for shocks and around £150 for the springs - usually find them cheapest on eBay from German sellers.

Or https://www.autodoc.co.uk/

And you will need 4 wheel alignment done after fitting....

I'd be mindful of why you're swapping; whatever you swap to will result in a harsher ride, even if you go for a well-known brand with progressive springs. I have the kit that people talk about most, I genuinely don't think it's an improvement as on ground that's rough/uneven/with poor tarmac, it really isn't settled and pliant enough to warrant the "upgrade". Smooth, dry tarmac, that's a different story, but for every day I just don't rate it at all. Indeed, I've just put mine back to standard, albeit with new bushes/wishbones/ARBs/springs/shocks, and although there's more bodyroll it's a far more comfortable car for every day use.

you do realise that is just for one shock?

Stick to B4's, I believe a 10% uprate over standard. The Eibach springs are progressive so the ride is much much better than sport springs. I had se springs and I found a better ride but as they are initially soft I found I didn't like the body roll so ended up fitting Whiteline Arb's which has sorted the issue out for me.

I do know that the B4's and B6's are designed to work with your OEM springs . B4's are a direct OEM shock replacement and the B6's are the sportier version.

Morning All,
Hope all is well in your world, and you are keeping safe

Not really bought standard shocks before ,usually fitting coil overs on my other cars

Found some B4'S full set for approx. £320 delivered

Take it I strip all the ancillary bits off my old shocks, and put them on the new ones

Do I need to replace any of the old parts as a matter of course, or should I be ok swopping over

Cheers in advance

Mark

Recently did the exact thing, you may find this link useful https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=120413 For what it cost I replaced all ancillary components.

How do you know if m sport suspension fitted as reading the forum you move up to B6 from B4 if it is
