Just a quick post, Spotted a Tesla Model S in a car park in Stratford upon Avon, which surprisingly for a council owned car park had charging points!

A quick number plate check revealed it had impressive stats, 285 BHP and 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. 8)

I had a good nose around one today in the Tesla Bristol showroom, it's a thing of engineering beauty TBH, even the chassis and drive-train on display reminds me of an aerospace build, fantastic interior too. Dynamics don't sound too shabby either!

305 miles range
3.1 seconds 0-60 mph
2.8 seconds 0-60 mph with Ludicrous Speed Upgrade :crazydude:
10.9 seconds ¼ mile with Ludicrous Speed Upgrade
259 hp front motor power
503 hp rear motor power
713 lb-ft motor torque !!!!!!!!!
155 mph top speed

What's to stop someone nicking the power cable?

It locks into place :)

I had the pleasure of reviewing one with some mates. We took the car to France for a booze cruise. The car was pretty quick but not in a nice way the power was not very progressive at all!

Can't deny it looks great from outside though :)

So how long do the batteries last before you need new ones ?

Years

It's a great car, dad's got one. Having driven one on test, it's an awesome beast. Unbelievable speeds from it in absolute silence.

Sat in one a few weeks back - awesome... and see them on a fairly regular basis around Brum. The silence of them is hard to get over as they creep around town streets and zip away when the road is clear.

They are however the future - love it or loath it...

The P85D (now the P90D) is an incredible thing, but start adding options and it's a wallet emptier. I did the man maths to see if I could afford one (I can't) but their deal is sweet. They guarantee it will be worth a minimum of 50% of the value after 3 years, and 45% of any option costs. Properly specced, with sunroof, their nice wheels and all the toys you'd want, it's the thick end of £100K

But a saloon that will embarrass bikes and just about any supercar on the planet. Sign me up.

Also, this is hilarious...

There next model is going to be headed closer to $35k in the U.S. ehem that happens and their mega battery factory comes on line then we'll see the automotive game change which they are slowly headed towards.
