No the XX was not the first two letters - that's just to keep the plate private - think it was AF
Thought so but also thought it was amusing that it did exist and that it belonged to a Transit :-)

...which reminds me, this was in Oct 2019 :o and was a forum member plate 0007 (sorry, i forgot your handle on here) and i can't remember where this this was (i think along the M4 somewhere) but we stopped and chatted about our cars and this forum Screenshot 2020-12-18 131930.png

Vert nice, did they permission to put the image - still very nice though :D
it's before I owned the car, i can tell because of the colour of the alloys. i doubt you'd have any right to the image unless you took it even tho its on a track. good to see it tracked, i've taken it round castle coombe, i dont' know why you'd own one of these and wouldn't because you can't drive it like it was built to be driven on public roads - i was quite precious about taking it on a track with an inspection before and after from a specialist, the only cost was new brake fluid before and fuel. everyone should do it.

Not certain about the image - we have seen a few threads on here of people cloning plates so wondered where you would stand on that issue.

I can see the attraction of tracking it as it should be driven like it was stolen at least once and as long as its looked after afterwards then it should be fine.

Bit of digging, came up with these links: https://dovepublishing.co.uk/blog/vepublishing.co.uk/2013/06/bmw-z4m-coupe.html The Autocar edition in 2006 looked like this https://www.picclickimg.com/d/w1600/pict/133584460501_/Autocar-24-May-2006-featuring-Audi-RS4-BMW.jpg but Autocar did use the Image several times including here: https://www.autocar.co.uk/slideshow/100-greatest-bmws-ever#68. There is also some internet footprint that suggests it might have also been used for "Track Experiences" but that could mean the actual car or the image could have been used for illustration purposes.

Saw a lovely dark blue Coupe heading towards Moreton in Marsh yesterday, private reg and a silver e85 top down on the M25 between 17 and 18 i think

That was me Brown :-) it seems a million years ago now. It was on the M5 at Strensham Services The car has now done 105K and has just had inspection 2. Hope the M is running well.

Today in Sheffield, 3.0i, R2 ECR. Interesting wheels, purple 107s. I wasn't a fan when I first saw them but actually they're OK, sometimes it pays to be brave.

Got a wave today from another coupe owner, silver, by the Shell garage in Cressex, High Wycombe. Then as I pulled in to the garage just after there was a black roadster on 108’s just leaving the garage.

Silver grey Z4M Roadie spotted about 8:30ish this morning at the traffic lights on saltbox Road, Guildford. Sounded nice, possible induction kit from what I could tell as you pulled away! Anyone on here?
