I wish to stream spotify from my Android via USB or Bluetooth ideally: and add telephone functionality.

local ICE store suggests a Dension : if the multi changer is disconnected (I have the full blown NAV and DSP set up) and this connected in its place, will the Bluetooth functionality allow me to make calls thro the car stereo (I don't have the multi function steering wheel) without having the 'source' set to the Desnsion (for example when listening to the radio)... my car is not BT equipped... but am happy to use the phone itself to control phone calls
 
The denison will plug into your multi changer loom and indeed give you bluetooth phone calls and music streaming, though if you don't have multi function wheel then you will need to hold the phone to call a number and I would imagine to answer also (I may be wrong about that though?).
The main problem I find with the denison is that if you listen to the radio you have to switch manually as you suggest over to bluetooth connectivity which can take a few seconds.
