Yesterday felt like realxing a bit so I had a bonnet full of everything - swirl marks, holograms, random scratches, everything.

Bonnet before:

Here is a pic of the bonnet 50/50

And here is a video to show the difference between the 2 sides:

I cant upload a video.

Let me try again.

Basically, after the usual washing and claying and drying.

I got out the paint meter to ascertain the paint depth is ok to work on it.

I sanded it using 1500 grit, basically removing around 5microns of paint.

Then i polished it using my milwaukee rotary and a compounding pad - Sonus - with Menzerna intensive polish.

Then i hit it with my favourite polising/finishing pad - Meguairs middle pad(yellow) with Menzerna Final Finish (not the ultra fine but the grey polish).

Job done.

15-30 minutes work.

You sanded it? Brave!

Easy peasy.

Been doing this for ages now.

Its actually till you do one the first time.

I use a DA for sanding.

Most probably a cared for car like yours wont even need the 2 stages above but the last stage.

There are loads of courses you can go to in the UK to guide you.

A friend just attended one by Tony Spears.
