Hi

Growing bored of my black non sports interior, nt sure that I want to spend £1000+ on a re-trim. Now I would love these but there is no way I would spend that much on seats.

I like the look of these?

But I have a feeling that it could change the dynamics of the car and make me look like a twat :o

Whats the thoughts?

I don't like those at all.
the bmw performance ones are beautiful.

some have aftermarket seats fitted in their cars and they looks great.
them ones you have linked look ugly to me

I am after a drivers seat for mine as I find the M seats too slippery and give no cornering support, but its a minefield sourcing seats unless you have a dealer or specialist local, other than that maybe a breaker,my favourite seats were the recaro in my Focus ST but unless you bought one how would you know if it fitted into a Z4. Hmm.

You get what you pay for, in the flesh there's lots of cheap nasty bits. I have two 'budget' seats like this that I made into office chairs, fine for the office but not in a BMW.

Have a hunt on Ebay plenty of M3 seats. I bought some lovely Recaro seats for my van and have them re trimmed

No matter what full leather seat you get, you'll find yourself slipping around due to the leather, especially as it wears and gets shiny. Get the centres of the seats re trimmed in alcantara, the fabric stops you sliding and grips you in the seat.
Go look in any race car and you'll see cloth or alcantara for that reason. (Same with steering wheels)

I personally feel a touch of fabric breaks up the interior and make it a more comfortable place to be.
