Sports seats

I'm assuming by base you mean the seat mechanism and not the base seat cushion? If so then yes they can and have been swapped by a few people (including myself).

I followed this really good guide by imp75. It's not a difficult job at all :thumbsup:

Ive found two sets, one in black and one in beige....just wondered that i could remove the bases from them so i have the sports seats on my original bases?
BTW i plan to get a full re-leather in red so the colour of the sports seats doesnt matter as found a place that does BMW original leathers like my oregon dream red. :)

Jonny, what is the cost of releathering? As I may want to remove the blue leather on my new interior.
 
I am pretty sure ranski paid £6-700 to have his re-leathered.
 
I would hold out for electric seats too... The memory function is worth if going out and changing your seats.

Also FYI facelift seats need a mod to the occupancy sensor... Either bypass it or transplant the mat if you want it to work properly.

If you do get the black ones and are going to bin the black leather covers, I will buy them off you :)

Enquire about it when u take ur seats in

Let them look around your car and get an estimate for me

I'd want black leather with cream stitching....
 
This won't be anytime soon but it's a one day thing

I basically want the extended leather option

Which was roll hoops, a pillar and the windscreen roof part...all the centre section and then I'll go one further and get the dashboard done too

Basically the whole lot really :)

Just get some idea

If its under 1500 I'm keen
