hey guys

not a fan of the standard seats in the Z I slide all over the place in them. I would like the sports ones, they would need to be heated but then youre looking at crazy prices.

but ebay general bmw m seats heated are around £250 - 300 so....

where can I get info regarding changing brackets over and a wiring adaptor or are they the same foot print if you like to say an E46?
ideally would like to do a straight bolt on swap
I don't care if they are manual
 
M seats or sports seats normally go for more on eBay typically £500 + but you will get upwards of £200 for very good condition standard seats.

Sports seats are straight swap but facelift ones in a pre-facelift model will need occupancy bypass sensor off eBay or mat changed to passenger seat.

Not sure on E46 subframes

I agree £500 plus for the Z4 sports seats. I don't know how to do a link to the ones im looking at but basically

if on ebay and type bmw M sport heated seats- it comes up with a variety of bmw seats for example

You're wasting your time looking at E46/E90 etc seats I'm afraid, they are far too big to fit in a Z4. It's not just the width, the bases are much higher too. your only option really is to spend out on Z4 sports seats.

There is no logic to the prices of second hand car parts, it is simple supply and demand. Z4 sports seats sell for twice as much as M3/M5 etc ones because they are much harder to find.
