Hi should the driving mode stay in the current selection when you re enter the car next time , mine always reverts back to comfort mode? I have set up my key to my profile.

By default it always reverts back. But you can code it to start in sport mode with Bimmercode or Carly.

Yup. Mine coded to start in sports individual. Saves that button push when I get in.

I’ve read on here about coding damaging the ECU, I have Carly from my e89 ,is it safe to use and will it show up when I go to the dealers with warranty issues?
