SPORTS EXHAUST ADVICE PLEASE

Hi there, I would love to enhance the exhaust note of my 2.5 but am having difficulty finding anyone who sells them. Can anyone give me any advice on the best noise ones which it not boy racer a noise and were to get them.

Options really depend on whether your car is pre or post facelift.

Its not the cheapest, but I love my Eisenmann 8)

If you have a search mate you'll find loads of discussions and info on this - look up remus, eisenmann, miltek - one or all will have appeared in most exhaust discussions. If you're mechanically minded, check out CJ's :thumbsup: Also, have a look at Mr Whippy's latest project - that I really like the look of.
 
Hi it is a Dec 2003. Not really in to these cars yet as I only have it 2 weeks so any advice will be appreciated
 
It really depends on you....so tough to tell from sound clips on youtube IMO. From what I've seen/read/and heard Eisenmann & Remus sound the best with Magnaflow (US) following behind. But another thing I've noticed is a lot of the people in the UK (to include you Irish folk as well as the Scotts) tend to not prefer the louder throatier exhausts.
All in all, having heard a good number of the various exhausts out there I would rate the best sounding as
#1 Eisenmann
#2 Remus


Note: I still haven't heard the Magnaflow in person on a Z4....they shound great on a 2000 Chevy S-10 pickup with 4.3L V-6 w/ vortec engine though. (Its what I put on my S-10 when I was in Vegas)
 
Hmmm contacted Milltek but they do not make one for the 2.5 so am back to the drawing board.
I think I will look out for the Eisenmann but I see yours comes out either side. Mine just comes out the left side
Is that because of a newer model (mine is 2003)

Nope we have the same car (Dec 31 2003 for me)... only I have a Z4 2.5 and a hacksaw!

If you search for exhausts it'll bring up plenty of info on the different options - only issue for you will be browsing through them all :wink:
