Sports Cars In The Park, 06 May 2018

BMWs are starting to register for this event. Four Zeds signed up so far...

The show will be held at Newby Hall and is one the larger meets in the area attracting more than 500 sports cars. Last year there was a fabulous range of exotic cars to admire. There will also be a number of related stalls on the day. Newby Hall was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, with some of Britain's finest Robert Adam interiors. Newby Hall is home to a wonderful collection of Chippendale furniture, Gobelins tapestries and classical statuary. With 25 acres of award winning gardens including one of Europe's largest double herbaceous borders, an enchanting woodland walk and a miniature railway, younger visitors will also enjoy the exciting adventure gardens.

09:00 - Display cars arrival
10:00 - General public arrival
12:00 - All cars must arrive on-site before 12:00
14:00 - It’s not a lock in but we should stay till at least 14:00
16:00 - Departure (no rush, its a Sunday)

Tickets for displaying cars are £7.00, with each extra occupant costing an additional £7.00. This is cheaper than the usual Newby Hall entrance tickets. Display tickets are only sold in advance.

How much are the general public tickets? Can't seem to find the info on the site.
It costs more for public tickets than exhibitor tickets. Usual Newby Hall process I think.

58 days to go until this fabulous show. Still plenty of space for all Zeds.

Sales are really starting to take off now for this great event. It looks like the dramatic departures will be on again this year. A rare chance to see supercars in action up close and personal.

Just out of curiosity are people going as - Not in a Group, BMW north east or Zroadster?
If you choose BMW North East we get a bigger space for all of us to be together.

More than 15 cars registered, and there is still time to get a ticket.
I'm not really from the N/E just a bit further south..any problem if I join you?
No probs. The NE Region is organizing the club stand, but it is open to all BMWs from any location.

OK that's great ..see you there then :)

Everything is looking good for next Sunday. The weather forecast is warm and dry. The organizer is tracking ticket sales ahead of last year. The club stand has over 20 cars registered, and almost 50 BMWs have signed up, including 8 Z4s. I'll be bringing my Z4C this year, and it might even get washed by then !

The BMWCCGB North East Region will have two meeting points for anyone wanting to drive down together - 1st departure at A1(M) Washington Services Southbound at 7:45, and the second at A1(M) / A66 Scotch Corner Services at 8:30.

I’ll be there but will be on the RSOC stand (most likely on the edge/ in the trees) :( :o  looking forward to seeing a couple of other Zed’s :D

I really enjoyed last years event but I’m over in the lakes this year doing the Festival of Light otherwise me and the wife would be there.

Looks like the weather will be superb for this Sunday. Just in case you were wondering, adults entry tickets (as a visitor) are £12.25 and kids are £9.25... https://shop.myonlinebooking.co.uk/newbyhall/buy.aspx?tid=3

You can probably get tickets on the gate. I was going to show the Z4 (£7.00) but I'll have my 5yr old with me and there is no way he's going to be happy staying the whole day.

Anyhow, I'll be sure to come over to any guys showing their Z4's and say hello..
