So the next mod is decided upon.

Im investing in a set of Eibach springs -30 at the front and -20 at the rears so once these are fitted I will be selling my original sport springs if anyone is interested?

They will drop your SE by approx 15mm all round or if you put them on your sport they will make it faster.. yes they will :D

Won't that ruin the arch spacing on your 19s? - Cosmetic
Wouldn't stiffer ARB's be the better option? - Performance

Hi th30d0r3

Hmmm.. Ive thought long and hard about this and the cars ive looked at on here with 19's and the small drop, bear in mind its not the full figures quoted as mine is already on sports suspension which is about 15mm lower than standard, look that little bit better and that little bit more aggressive. I think the arch gap is just margianally too high as it stands.

Never thought about the stiffer ARB's. May be something to consider in the future if Im not happy with the results of the drop.

Cheers

JDM,i hae just done the eibach springs on mine, tho havnt really been out for a proper run,as still bedding in (yet more)new front brake pads,lo....but early signs are very good :D :driving:

u wont be dissapointed :)

would love to see pics of anyone who's managed to drop and not get that whole bowl haircut look on the wheel arches, might change my mind.

The springs will sink over time as there natural tension under the cars weight sets in - happens faster in the heat mind you.

BMW always just offer stiffer and/or lower springs to offer up a more sporty ride and in some cases they do indeed work, however for flat cornering and even contact patch across the tire are a combination of ARB's and tires will yeald the better result; whilst maintaining comfort. BMW unfortunately don't offer that; H&R does though

E46 ARBs work on the Z4 incase you were wondering *hint* ebay anyone??

Hi - my cars for sale att the mo, but if it doesn't sell in the next month I am going to put it back to standard and give it to my wife! Will need some sport spings if that happnes (mines an smg, so had sport as standard I think).

What do you want for yours? Are they all ok - no cracks or rust on the rear springs?

If it goes back to standard will be selling my KW variant 2 kit - with adjustable top mounts from turner motorsport. let me know if they float your boat! I had eibach for a while and hitting every speed hump got me down.......

Well knowing what BMW charge for a full set of springs and also taking into account what I have just payed for a full set of Eibach springs, I think somewhere in the region of £80.00 is about right? The springs are still on the car at the minute. From what I can tell there is no rust on the rear springs and they are performing fine

Hmmm if the shipment to poland wouldnt cost as much as the differene bgetween them and the Eibachs then I would be interested in them

Am I wrong, or the sport springs were originally matched with stiffer dampers?

Hi McKoval, Sorry for the late reply. I have been away for a long weekend and only got back late yesterday.

The sport I beleive only had differnet springs to the SE. The dampers were the same on both cars.. Im not 100% certain on this so maybe someone else can confirm?

Please be so kind to check the details about posting your Msport sprongs to poland - how much would it cost

Hi not sold yet.. Im in the process of trying to obtain a price for shipment to Poland for McKoval but no such luck as yet.

Yep as Craig says.. 15mm drop all round :D

Ok, I have 3.0si SE Roadster, so it'll also go down 15mm, yes?
it does fit the roadster, does it?

while waiting for the shipment costs - I hope you consider the springs set 'reserved' 8)

cheers
