'Sport' + 'Sport Program', but no ...

Double-clutch 35iS in 'Sport' via rocker switch + 'Sport Program' via gear lever. Good mode. 'Sharpened' adaptive suspension etc. & temporary 'over boost' for 500Nm ... and so on. Like it a lot. But found a wrinkle.

Been on quick bumble. Drove into town. Saw parking space ahead on other side of road. Nipped across, facing oncoming traffic, intending to reverse into space. Pressed detent/pushed gear lever forward and ... no reverse.

For those who know, forgive me. For those who don't ... you have to push the gear lever out of 'M/S' first.

What sort of car do you have OP?

In my E86 manual I would just have used reverse gear - don't E89s have any of those backwards modes outside of M/S mode (whatever that is)!

We get proper gears so we can decide whether to go forwards, backwards or towards the stars!

Doesn't pushing the lever forward do an upshift? Of course you have to put it back in the gate to get reverse.

Just like a manual car you need to move the shifter over. Left modes are sport and manual, right modes are Park reverse neutral and drive.

Best to learn how to drive a car before putting yourself in danger imho.

Right....I've got the aircraft in the air, which is good, I've absolutely no idea how to land it but that doesn't matter just now....I've at least got it airborne....I'll worry about landing it another time...

Don't worry fella - the ground will break your fall!

What I hate is you can't have all the systems traction control turned off but keep the sharpened throttle.

You can have Sport + mode but as soon as you hold down the traction control button to disable it completely it puts you back in normal mode.

Erm.. isn't this reasonably obvious? FWIW I'm on hols at the moment and driving a Renault Kadjar auto hire car - it has exactly the same thing on its gear selectors. I think this is pretty standard!
