Well, as you might imagine I am a big fan of the carbon Tillett B5 seats, which I have fitted in my car:
These replaced a set of Pole Positions and the comfort, rigidity and fit are all in a different league. Tillett make a number of similar seats that you could also consider, and other manufacturers like Mog or, if you are very flush, Reverie also make seats in a suitable slim style. Another possibility would be seats from a Lotus Elise/Exige, but the fitting tends to be a bit idiosyncratic.
My biggest issue with the Pole Positions is they are so big and not a very elegant fit in the Z4's actually quite small and narrow cockpit.
As an aside I did discuss with Tillett getting new headrest pads made up with the M logo embroidered in - it can be done and I think I will do it sooner or later, but I have other priorities at the moment.
