Sport Mode not working on 3.0

I had new head lights installed last night, and now the Sport mode is not working. The button lights up, but does not change the steering/throttle/gear box. Any ideas/anything to check before getting mechanic out again?

reset the throttle responsiveness back to factory defaults.

Turn ignition off
Turn key to "on" position
Wait 15 seconds
Turn ignition off
Wait another 15 seconds

Start the car.... you should find the responsiveness has been reset

or

The other way is to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes. Once reconnected the computer is forced to reboot. You have to reset your clock, date and windows though.

Tried this fix, it seems a bit better - the steering has weighted up a bit, as well as the throttle. Not as good as it was, but a bit better

Hi, I have the same issue with mine - light is on but no difference in throttle responce or suspension, any ideas? Would another system having issues stop this from working as it doesn’t hold any codes. It hasn’t worked since I bought the car. It’s a 3.0L I used to have the 2.5 and it worked well so I know what it should be like!

If you car is an E85 then the sport button doesn't do anything to the suspension, just heavier steering, more responsive throttle and on the autos a sportier gear change.

Ahh thanks - yes sorry steering not suspension, although I notice absolutely no change here either. It is an E85 3.0L I was wondering which system it is associated with that I could check - the sport button light still comes on but no change at all with the way the car drives I recall it being quite obvious from a previous z4 I owned so there must be an issue somewhere
