First drive with the sport mode and transformed the car especially with clutch valve delete mod which I did previously,total cost £20 for a second hand button,thanks Barry.When I go in again I’ll do airbag deactivation button.

Did you find out what all the wiring was then?

No,I forgot about it after I stuck everything back together.
I will need to go back though to sort airbag module after I went off the road into a field avoiding a cat and the airbag deployed.

Hmm, 2 of those plugs plug into the hazard combo switch. Can’t really remember from memory what the other button on that switch panel is for, but lock windows comes to mind.

À dog ran out in front of me,to avoid it I ran into a farmer’s field,trouble in France is all the fields have a ditch for drainage and I partially cleared it but managed to damage the underside of the car,airbag went off also.
According to insurance estimate €8000 to repair so we’ll see,I wouldn’t mind buying it back and repairing it if the chassis is ok considering I’ve just received my French plates and carte grise at considerable expense
There’s a cheap blue 2.5 auto on eBay with the roof not working so that could be a donor car.
Ideally I’d like to find reasonably priced LHD e86 the uk,some hope
I’ve enjoyed my z4 project and learned so much so makes sense to get another.

If yours is too far gone, you could use parts to fix up another?!

I’d rather not pay out for another French registration document if at all possible,so makes sense to repair,if the chassis is bent that’s another matter everything else is fixable.
All ok thanks,first time I’ve had an airbag go off.
