Sport button - can power assistance be reduced

I have a 3.0i SE 2004 Z4. With the Sport button on is there any way to reduce the steering power assistance at speed?

Currently at standstill when I switch the Sport button on I can feel the difference when turning the wheel when compared to button off, but at speed there is no difference and the steering has too light a feel. Tyres pressures are all ok.

that doesnt sound right, the power assistance should be reduced at all speeds with the sport button operated?
regards

The sport button should do that Zikim, if it's not working then it sounds like you have a problem with it.

The button itself works, but presumably the electronics or software are at fault with the assistance not being there at speed.

Does anyone know if there is any adjustment that can be done to either the power assistance motor or electronics or software?

I found this on the internet

It explains how the system works but it seems like there is no way to adjust. Unless anyone on here has done otherwise???

Another option to increase steering wheel resistance (which doesn't directly address the sport button issue) is to check/change your suspension toe settings. More toe in adjustment will give you additional resistance and make the steering wheel feel heavier.

It's currently set to 14' total toe-in at the front
