Sport as default (instead of Normal) ?!?

Selecting Sport after !every! engine start is my habit (set in stone) so I happen to have a subsequent curious query:_



Is there any chance (probably thru INPA/ISTA coding) to change default drive regime from "Normal" to "Sport"? But not disabling the manual selector Normal - Sport - Sport+ should I wish to change it manualy whenever later on?

If positive, please, give me brief but understandable instructions, as I do not have my INPA/ISTA programmer, I will have to pass the instructions to a friend of mine, who has it. Thanks a lot.
 
The short answer is no. You could always fit one of those pedal boxes that gives the quicker throttle response.

No, as I understand it, traction control gets off in Sport+ only.
A throttle adapter is a shitbag/placebo (tried it once, NEVER MORE).
 
I do not need to do so, because I do not trust my (aging) reactions, I prefer driving with traction control on (+ I am having a LSD).
 
Oh so do I, I find the clutch is harder to engage smoothly with the sport button down - it's a lot easier to drive smoothly with it off, plus on the odd occasion I'm on the right road and I turn the traction partly off and put the sport button on, it feels like a new car, which is fantastic!
 
All it does is sharpen throttle response, weight the steering up a bit and changing shift points on the auto: the engine will rev in the same way regardless, but I think that a part of the sport button experience is that you mentally think things will be more different, and so they are, because you touch "I'm in motherhubbard sport mode!" so you hold it in gear longer and press the pedal quicker and harder. I do find that if you press the DTC button once, or hold it down to disable DTC, do actually do get a different experience as the traction control isn't gently guiding you without you even being aware of it, but it's on you if you drive it really hard like that with no DTC on lol

No i like my throttle adaptor i wouldn't be without, each to their own.
Normal is full traction control, try turning sharp and accelerating, it kicks in a bulks the engine. Scarry at a busy junction.
Sport is partial traction.
Sport+ is nearly all traction off, with a bit left on so you can't sue BMW.
