AL - I have to agree with you on that bit as far as aerodynamics unless your putting a serious spoiler on and for race conditions of course no noticable effect. My post was really just about how BMW had carefully thought out roof and boot lip along with undertray for optimum road use at 100mph

Looks awful IMO. The Z is a very sexy shape as it is.But as always, it's subjective,it's your car, if you like it, do it, it's nowt to do with us.

The lines on the roadster look good as they are. Although I like the design of the spoiler in general, it doesn't add anything to the overall roadster aesthetics. Add a hardtop and it's a close call.

i have had a spoiler on mine for 4 years as i thought the rear was not resolved. anyway, each to their own.



but i do know what a race car spoiler looks like and how it affects the downforce

Not sure about the spoiler but loving the E46 M3 alloys! I wonder if they just bolt on?
