Splooshing in Boot

Hi

Just put a deposit down on an M Roadster, when test driving heard splooshing sound over a speed hump, is this petrol or water buildup?

Could be blocked drainage ducts which run down each side of the compartment where the roof folds into.

Would be worth opening the roof half way and having a look, carefully tip a watering can down the drainage holes and it should run freely out of the bottom of the car.

Not to put a dampener on your purchase (pun intended) but doesnt the water ingress issue lead to hood motor failure?

Also i though it had been fixed on facelift Zs (inc all M's)
