Not the Zed. She get's as much as she needs spent on her. £535 tax this month. :o

No, about time I finally forked out for that dream Kitchen I've been promising MrsG for 30 years. Hope it meets with Forum approval. I need to go lie down now. :D

Still need a TV for the far corner, on a wall mount. Suggestions welcome. :)

Did you fit yourself?

Nope, did the removal, prep and the electrics. Then had a plasterer in to skim over where I had removed all the old tiles and had a fitter in to build and fit the units. He also did the new floor. Took five guys to lift the breakfast bar into position. I'm still finishing a few bits, new doors and still need a tele for the corner.

Rob

Thanks Rob. I had fun making the template for that. So happy it fitted millimetre perfect. We were originally thinking opaque natural glass or Black. As we had to wait until the Units, Hud, Granite and Cooker where in place before I could measure up for it Mrs G had added a few adornments by then and we decided the splash back might look good if it matched. It's screwed on, so if (when) MrsG changes the bits and bobs, we can get a new splash back to match. :D

Looking good, those worktops looks very similar to mine, quartz? Sounds solid right through if it took five guys to lift

It's a slippery slope, first the kitchen, then the bathroom, then the front room, and evenutally you end up expanding up into the loft, out into the back garden, and losing your garage in the name of a seperate dining room.

It's Starlight Granite, very solid stuff indeed. We had our on sweet floor done in tiles, that I actually thought were man made. We loved them so much. we went hunting for something similar for the kitchen. It was only when we took a spare tile in to Plymouth stone, that the owner explained it was natural granite and we could have exactly the same stone, for the kitchen work tops. It has such a deep lustre.

Loft was actually first, about 20 years ago. Needed to get the pool table out of the garage, to put my Fiat Coupe in there  Now the kids have left home we can finally afford to get the rest done.

Thanks Phil. :)

With that wine glass, if you ever invite us over for a glass of red we'll be round like a shot !

That's the new look according to Mrs FB, less wall mounted units. We are in the process of buying a new property which will need plenty of work and that's the look she want's. Me, I want a double garage, but that will be well down the list
Lovely looking kitchen and a happy wife is the way forward buzyg
