Speedo re-calibration

Sorry for novice question.
If I change my 18” wheels to 19” do I need to have the speedo re-calibrated?
Cheers

+1 also interested in the answer to this - tried googling a while ago but couldn't find anything.

Not if you keep the overall diameter/circumference the same by reducing the profile of the 19" tyres.

So, for example, going from 255/40r18 to 255/35/r19 will not increase the over diameter/circumference.

Similarly, going from 225/45r18 to 225/40r19 will only increase it by 0.4% - so well within the over-read the speedo gives normally.

Try these tyre calculator sites, easy to use to get the correct rolling radius.
