Strangely and amazingly I got caught speeding on the motorway 5 miles before the port in Santander…110kmph in a 100kmph in the F56 Mini.

It’s a 100 euro reduced to 50 euro for prompt payment.

That was June..paperwork just arrived.

My understanding was post Brexit these can not be longer enforced in the UK.

However since I am returning to Spain next year albeit in the Zed it may be problematical…maybe even if I use one of my different passports?

Thoughts ?

I was of the same opinion of you… that it was unenforceable

However that is from no stronger base of hearsay. Have a google see what comes up

Of course you pay. Honesty and integrity are part of an advanced driver's makeup (and of course the lipstick). You have told us about it now, so we are waiting for you to say, "I paid the fine as I believe that we need to take responsibility for our own actions and learn from our mistakes" 😜

Interesting that they found you. I have had a few flashes in various countries but nothing ever arrived.

Im embarradsed to say i got done in trier germany, doing about 25 in sum daft 18 mph zone, ffs
I just paid up.
So sort it,

I have a lovely certificate of calibration of the device that caught me..no idea what it was…plus a letter ..but no ‘evidence’ per se..

Didn’t see any flashes but in 3,500 miles I may have missed one..IMG_3655.jpegIMG_3654.jpeg

f**k it, you'll be in a different car and the Mini isn't registered in your name :driving:
Sadly I am the registered owner…I did work out where it happened….i should have boxed clever and said it was on a piece of road when SWMBO was driving…didn’t think about that…🙈😳😂

Unfortunateley, Peter, with great age memory and eyesight fails, i speak from experience

You are absolutely correct…I will report myself tomorrow to the head of IAM driving standards / ROSPA and Mary Whitehouse!

I’ve started doing the IAM Masters course so will ask my tutor for enlightenment and divine guidedance.

In the meantime I’ll chant the braking distances from 185 mph in 5 mph increments!🧐🫡😳🙈😂

It must have cost more than 50€ to track you down, print off the paperwork bollicks and send it off to you.
Just wear a wig, beard and glasses.

Scrub the last part of you already look like that on your passport

You want to keep on the right side of the law if you plan to revisit, you don't want to end up in a foreign prison, I saw Midnight Express once 🤣 The prison in Monaco is good, they serve steak with pasta and the cells have a view of the sea, saw it on 📺

I was flashed in Spain a few years ago and they tracked me down with the ticket in Sydney. After all their efforts finding me, I thought they deserved payment!
