Spectacle wearers?

Are any of you like me and have to wear glasses. I had my eyes tested recently and although not a big change I needed new glasses for computer working. I had a £30 voucher and the glasses still cost me a total of £99.00, clear lenses with just an anti glare coating. My eyes are getting on a bit now and I have separate pairs for different types of viewing, normal, reading and computer work. I also have a pair for very close work when I'm working in confined spaces on my cars etc.

So to the point, my optician wouldn't tell me my PD - distance between pupils - probably trying to stop me going to another optician, anyway I went on line, measured my PD in a mirror and selected a cheap frame which as I wanted basic lenses came with free ones. I had to pay £5.98 postage and packing and they have just arrived and are perfect.

Your task then is to guess how much I paid in total (with P&P).

Andi.

Er...is the answer £5.98? (might be missing something but didn't you tell us how much you paid?)
EDIT: Ahh, you paid that for p&p. Okay.....£8.49?

I've worn glasses since I was about 4 years old. Current Cutler & Gross pair cost me nearly £500; but then I wear them all the time and they last around 2 years so I equate it to buying decent clothing. Owned glasses by Oliver Peoples, Paul Smith, Tom Ford, Lindberg etc and all around the same sort of price.

Definitely not £5.98 incl p&p.

I get mine at Tesco and have been happy with service and prices.

I guess £33.00 with P&P

£14.99
I have perfect eyesight, but was recently told by the optician who was barely out of nappies, that at my age I would soon be looking at (see what I did there ?) A deterioration in my eyesight. :x

I go to the pound shop for mine,
Mind you I sit on them, lose them, break them, scratch them.
I would never be able to handle a £99 pair, let alone a £500 pair.
Anyway, I bet you had a £10.98 deal
