Specialist in/near essex

Who is regarded as the best specialist in or around the Essex area? I'm due a service in 2k and would like a general healthy check at the same time.

I know of PMW but I've heard a bad story about them (shall not repeat it on here).

I've been using DarJac Racing near Colchester for the last couple of years, he's well respected on M5Board.com and owns an e34 M5 & a Skyline himself.

Give him a call and tell him mmm-five (Tony) sent you - although I know he's being kept quite busy, so may not be able to fit you in immediately.

http://darjac-racing.co.uk/ (forgive the website, but it's just a holding page for now).

I've heard mostly good about PMW, but the advantage they have over ML is that when PMW customers have a problem they'll do their best to sort it out and not just deny it ever happened.

Who can re-program my key? I'd like to be able to get the top down from the key, I think that is possible right?

Highams dont have a website?

highams don't have a website - but don't be put off. They looked after my z and didn't bat an eye lid when i asked them to check condition of vehicl before i left it with them... look them up on yell.com

If you can make it over to these guys then I can recommend then...

Perfect Touch (www.perfect-touch.co.uk) or CA (www.ca-at.co.uk) both are partners - work on all sorts of performance cars particularly BMWs. Have been their many times - good guys, know what they are doing.

(e.g. the annoying guying from 5th gear with the E46 white M3 is part owner of CA - but they've had lots of other performance cars appear in the news/magazines - fastest M6 in the country, fastest skyline etc).

Last time I was there they had a supercharged E46 CSL up having work done...

If you go on the 9th May my car will be there getting its brakes upgraded!

Excellent, thanks folks - gives me some good options there. Prob use BMW for the service but maybe specialist for other work.
