Speaker upgrade

If you were to upgrade just the speakers in a 10 speaker set up, what are the best options. Not interested in any amp upgrades, just speakers and Subs.
 
i would also like to know this, the 1 behind drivers seat has stopped working in mine so might aswell replace and upgrade all of them rather than just replace like for like on just the 1 :evil:
 
Search 'Speaker' then 'Upgrade' - 436 hits to choose from including speaker options, head units etc etc :)

Im getting these in the spring to work with my BMW dice and just installed MFSW controls :D
However they are replacemnets for the door speakers and door tweeters only, still very good reviews tho :thumbsup:
Will put a small hidden amp in soon after as well :wink:

Stupidly expensive for what they are - their only advantage is that they're sold as a plug & play kit - visit a decent audio installer and you'll get better for less.

The most basic stereo supplied with the US cars was the 10 speaker version so has wiring in place for all speakers. If you've got the european basic 6-speaker stereo, the bavsound kit won't even be plug-and-play as you won't have existing door speakers to replace and, as the speaker connectors are missing, you will have to splice into the existing wiring to connect up the speakers

Someone had those professionally installed in their Alpina - along with a new head unit, amp and sound processor - they seemed happy with them

Of course I am also having this done by an installer , way out of my league
 
So back to the original question on best options, and why cant you simple swap over. What does DSP stop you doing and why
 
So going to go for the BAV Stage One upgrade, anyone else interested as a bulk buy discount applies. happy to share the savings.
