Spark plugs, where to buy?

I'm going to replace my spark plugs soon, but not 100% sure which one to get.
The NGK website says PLZFR6A-11S and also the upgrade version ILZFR6D11

Going on ECP and CP4L both have NGK but don't say exactly which model they are.
Any suggestions where I can purchase these from to ensure I get the right version?

I'll probably be shot down for this, but have you tried Halfords?
At least you can walk in and physically see what you're getting?

Worth a try TBH not sure if they will be a good price though.

Well i just copied the code you wrote and stuck it into Amazon:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/NGK-Platinum-Standard-0-044in-PLZFR6A-11S/dp/B07F5P2H3R/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=PLZFR6A-11S&qid=1632920313&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzMEg5TUJCVVBDTkcyJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjA0ODA1TE1TVVZCODdXN1NIJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0MDQxMjEzSFdGVTg1SVhLMVQyJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

Or these for the upgrade version:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/PCS-NGK-ILZFR6D11-Spark-Plug/dp/B07F5GLPBD/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=ILZFR6D11&qid=1632920385&qsid=259-2808255-8940040&sr=8-6&sres=B01BLN7HUU%2CB01M60U661%2CB00BPK87PO%2CB07F5GLPBD%2CB00FEMLTZ4%2CB001ET4X4K%2CB006TZQSHE%2CB001MU294W%2CB00BJM4LYE%2CB001RLTTPI%2CB000BYB8EC%2CB008USU4SC%2CB002ZRQ42O%2CB00YMY4ZQU%2CB01LRIT3RO%2CB000HDIPHK&srpt=SPARK_PLUG

I wouldnt order NGK from amazon or ebay. They are the most common fakes, You will find them all over aliexpress etc.

this is the address of the amazon seller you linked to:

Business Name:Shanghai Fengcai Industry and Trade Co., Ltd.
Business Type:Privately-owned business
Trade Register Number:91310110MA1G8E46XW
VAT Number:GB298398132
Business Address:
No. 360 Fushun RD. Yangpu District Shanghai
Shanghai
China

CN

there is a change they may be genuine but I wouldnt be taking that chance. For NGK I would stick with a main distributor/well known company who will source genuine products from proper supply chains.

Ah well, bin that idea then.

OK then, but simply googling 'Buy PLZFR6A-11S' it took me to Opie Oils site.
Pretty sure they'll be kosher?
Sometimes we overlook the simplest search method...............

I bought a set of six NGK Laser Iridium plugs on ebay two years ago from BMWMOTORMEC. Here's the link:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391877749220?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Huge improvement in the running after I bought them and they've been fine ever since.

From bitter experience I wouldnt buy spark plugs from ECP. We have had two cars in our family with engine damage from using plugs from ECP which broke up . I dont think they fet their plugs from reputable sources and I reckon ours were fake.

I got the following from Opie Oils

NGK ILZFR6D11 (1208) - Laser Iridium Spark Plug / Sparkplug - Fits BMW X5 3.0 E70 - 6 Plugs - £63.75

I looked at gsf and opie but for the upgraded plugs, both places were over £80 for 6.
Is that normal and are they worth it (will it hive me 10bhp more 😉)

Yes, 60% discount taking it down to £86!
Opie was £70

I am just bringing this up again, so what spark plugs would you recommend for an M54B25 engine?
I have 2003. E85 2.5i model with 191 HP.

Thanks

I was thinking of changing the plugs & coil packs on my e89
35i next year. Is it something that’s relatively easy to do ?
And seeing you talking about plugs and upgrades, is there an upgrade plug for this engine?
Thanks
