Hi

This is my first question to ask on this site, so looking forward to any responses I may get.

I would like to change my spark plugs. There are quite a few to choose from. I am not sure which ones to get.

Any recommendations?

The current ones have done 35.000 miles, so I think it is time I changed them.

Many thanks

Nothing wrong with OEM (except perhaps the price) - I've heard that the Bosch ones that match up part wise can sometimes look different.

when i looked for ones for the n52, engine it seemed bmw switched few times between bosche and NGK,

I wouldnt be put off by using either, as long as there correct spec. Check manufacturers website

NGK Spark Plug ILZFR6D11 Laser Iridium Sparkplug (NGK 1208) -Set of 6
SKU: 00079511

Ye there same i used on the n52, bought off opie about 52 quid after discount

Hi

Would you suggest that I take my car to the garage to have it checked out and if so, what should I expect them to do.

Many thanks

Your question about spark plugs leads me to ask about servicing history etc. I would change plugs as part of more thorough service ie air filter, oil change, oil filter and cabin filter. Why would you just want to change spark plugs. If you have now changed thread to 'emission light is on' that could be a different matter

Hi Mike

I thought it was going to start a new thread, then it tacked it on to the end of this discussion. With regards to the service I had all the filters and oil changed, but not the plugs.
I will look into starting it on another thread.
Thank you
