Years of working in aviation has gotten me into the habit of working to values. If there is a torque setting I use it
See if the torque value equates to a 1/4 turn (ish)...... Just out of interest...
The tip was for those who don't have a torque wrench.
I served a 3 year motor vehicle engineer apprenticeship with a now defunct motor dealer called Armstrong Massey based in Beverley/Hull.
They were Rolls Royce/Daimler/Jaguar/Aston dealers as well as BL so I know it works, its also a good checkpoint if your torque wrench is busted, wrongly set, not calibrated correctly (cheapie off ebay) etc and does not click..
