A standard size wheel may fit in the boot , I've never tried it , it's just any journey of meaning I make is usually at least 170 back to Durham or 850 to France , then another 250 to Spain , and those distances are each way
A boot full of gear and a passenger means your gonna be inventive when it comes to carrying your flat tyre on a standard rim .
All I meant was, if a flat happens and I pop on the spacesaver, does the punctured 18" wheel fit in the boot while you're driving to the garage. Reading back I wasn't very clear. I'd just assumed it would, but we know about assumptions . . .

I have the Slime Repair Tyre Kit tucked away nicely next to the battery. It says it can be washed out when you have the tyre permanently repaired with a plug and won't damage the tyre or the alloy 8)

BMW mobility kit that of course gives you the choice of air or air and goo depending on the damage. I have a skinny BMW spare that I keep at home, RAC membership and a credit card, wheel brace and jack too. Between them I'm good to go.
Slight loss of air or a flat then the kit
Total blow out then it's recovery home with RAC or if local family member can run out the skinny fit it and order a new wheel over the next few days.
Reality is a flat on a modern car is something in the order of once every 90,000 miles, so not really going to happen.

yes, but keeping the tyres in good condition does not mean you will not get a puncture...ever...
you only have to drive over some screws or nails on the road for it to go into the tyre...had this happen to me plenty of times..then once it was in there..i only found out on the motorway, once the srew fell out at high speeds.
usually i would notice the screw and get the puncture repaired before it leaks out...

It's a statistic. Clearly some people get more and others less and some of that is based on where and how they drive, tyre condition, etc.
I don't recall one on a road car that stopped me in the last 20 years. That would be 500k miles.
