Spare tire

Still trying to locate a used 17" spare donut wheel and tire. Found a source in Calif., but it's $50 to ship (the wheel and tire is $75). The problem seems to be that the salvage yards have no way to cross the info since the Z4's didn't have a spare originally.
Does anyone know what BMW might have come with a 17" donut spare?

Do you mean space saver wheel? I believe the e46 3 series 17inch space saver fits the z4. Might get away with a 16" if it's a 2litre with smaller brakes.

Excuse my ignorance. What is an e46 3 series? Is that the small sedan? I would definitely want a 17". Are the bolt patterns on most
BMW's the same?

I used to have an E46 and that came with a 17" space saver. Its the car below so if you have these in the states I presume it should come with the 17" space saver. I would check though as the lower spec ones with smaller wheels may not have done. Mine was a 330D M Sport so had the large MV2 wheels and slightly bigger brakes so therefore needed the 17" space saver to get past the callipers etc. Hope that helps.
