Spacers with standard suspension

Haven't got before with my MV2's but i'll do some after pictures tomorrow. You'll have to forgive the state of them as the poor thing needs a wash but it will give you an idea.

I ended up doing eibach pro springs, B4 shocks and 15mm spacers rear & 12mm on the front. Happy with the look but feel i could have gone with 15mm on the front but was paranoid about them rubbing. Haven't had any issues with what i've got though so i'm happy.

As far as ride is concerned i didn't notice any difference between the OEM standard springs and what i have now...although my OEM shocks were completely shot when i replaced them. Biggest difference to the ride was replacing the runflats with "normal" tyres....what an improvement. I don't need the cushion anymore...woo hoo!!!!! :-)

This is the exact same spacer setup I've got, so I'm definitely looking forward to the pictures.

I always hear that B8's are preferred for lowering springs? But I also notice everyone on the thread pairs them with B4 so I guess they run fine.

Do you also have the part number for the eibach spring set? Saw the lower ones (30/30) were specifically for the roadster on the Eibach website. Maybe because the coupe and roadster have different tolerances on the rear axle

Those side shots of each wheel is exactly what i wanted to see. Also the last picture

I think i'm sold on the Eibachs + Bilstein B4's. You don't get any rubbing right?

What have you got on the rears, Eibach Pro 30mm's?

Nope, no rubbing with the MV2’s. Done 2000 miles since replacing everything and adding the spacers and all good so far.

An interesting thing I found out when doing this was by adding spacers you reduce the level of lowering you get with the springs. The eibachs are supposed to lower by 30mm but when you have spacers it ends up around 20mm (give or take). I noticed this when I had one side with spacers and one side without when installing them. At first I thought i had cocked up the spring position but once I had a spacer on each side it levelled up. It must be something to do with the weight of the car being distributed over a wider area.

Either way, very happy. The shocks needed replacing anyway but I was a bit concerned the springs would be too harsh. That’s not the case at all, I didn’t notice any difference really.
