My idea was to keep the relative offset the same for front and rear (OEM -47/50) by adding 10mm spacers all round. I got the feeling from the report that small (10mm) spacers on the front would be acceptable (?)

My main issue is an aesthetic one, in that the standard E89 rear wheels look too far tucked in.
I have previously sought advice on this forum and been recommended to use 12 or 15 mm spacers on the rear.
This article seems to be saying that doing this on the back and nothing on the front should give me the look i want, with very minimal other effects.

The Author does state that 15mm spacers will not make much difference on a road car. I think the damage to bearings and poor handling would not be anything to worry about on a Z4 with the sort of spacer widths you need to get the wheels sitting nicely in the arches?
I have 16mm backs and 12 mm fronts. I cannot say that I can feel much difference, handling wise, to the standard set up even when 'pushing' the car on an A-road.

I have a 2006 2.5si, I’ve put 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm on rear. Mainly for aesthetics reasons, I didn’t like the deep set look. I’ve noticed no difference in driving, handles the same so I guess time will tell on the wear factor. I’ve had 4 wheel alignment.
